Origin windows and doors for a large home extension

Minty House is a traditional stone-built property. The property had recently been extended and we were tasked with supplying and installing the new windows and doors for the extension. With distinctive matching stonework and a grey slate roof, the extension was perfectly in keeping with the original property’s period aesthetic.

To ensure that the new windows and doors tastefully complemented the classic architectural style, we recommended using Origin aluminium windows and doors. For Minty House, the new windows and doors were specified in a subtle cool grey to create a stylish and understated appearance.

OS29 Origin sliding doors

Minty House occupies a favourable position, looking out across the Derbyshire countryside. Our customers wanted to optimise the natural location of their home and create panoramic views over their garden and surrounding landscape. For this, we recommended installing OS29 sliding doors. OS29 sliding doors have the slimmest sightlines of all UK aluminium systems. At just 29mm, the slimline frames help to create a wall of glass effect with long ranging views across the local countryside.

Alongside their slim sightlines, OS29 sliding doors provide a wealth of other benefits. Their argon filled glass units and polyamide core ensure outstanding thermal performance. They function on a smooth sliding and durable track system for effortless opening with each operation. And in terms of security, their locking systems feature super strong shoot bolts that lock directly into the door jamb.

OW80 Origin windows

For the windows, we recommended using OW80 Origin aluminium windows to match the aesthetic style of the OS29 sliding doors. The project required two single fixed light windows to the front elevation on either side of the sliding doors. And a further three pane casement window to the side elevation with open out functionality.

OW80 windows feature an attractive exterior flush finish to create a uniform appearance to the building façade. A+ rated for energy efficiency and with a weather resistant low maintenance finish, OW80 casement windows were the perfect choice for Minty House.

The project is now complete, and the occupants are enjoying their newly transformed living area and benefiting from the superior quality of their new Origin windows and sliding door.
